Review by hotel critic
I recently stayed at On The Rocks Bungalows for a romantic escape and was blown away by the stunning jungle setting and mountain views. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us in planning a memorable tour in the nearby national park, just steps away from the property. Despite the 172-step climb to the top, the breathtaking views and peaceful location make it all worthwhile, immersing you in the jungle experience. Our days were filled with exciting activities like jungle trekking, orangutan encounters, and river rafting, all arranged seamlessly by the attentive staff and knowledgeable local guides. The newly added Butterfly bungalow, the largest and most luxurious option, offered a comfortable retreat with a king-size bedroom, spacious balcony, and kitchenette, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The restaurant at On The Rocks not only provided delicious meals with fresh fruits to fuel our jungle explorations but also offered a panoramic view of the surrounding nature. The tours and ticket assistance provided by the experienced team made it easy for us to navigate through the last remaining habitat of the Sumatran orangutans, where we also spotted various wildlife like Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques, and colorful birds.our stay at On The Rocks was truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and immersive jungle experiences. I highly recommend this eco-friendly resort to fellow travelers looking to connect with nature and support conservation efforts while enjoying a memorable getaway.
